Vizant, Time Warner Cable among new, renewed leases in Ballantyne

Time Warner Cable, which recently merged with Charter Communications (NASDAQ: CHTR), renewed its lease and expanded its space significantly. The company now occupies 51,361 square feet at the Simmons Building, nearly doubling its Ballantyne footprint.

Life insurance agency Scottish Holdings renewed 13,672 square feet at Cullman Park, and Curtiss-Wright Corp., an industry company headquartered in Charlotte, renewed its space for 12,596 square feet at Brixham Green One.

Another new tenant, clinic Southeast Psych, is leasing 7,943 square feet at Ballantyne One. Other second-quarter transactions in Ballantyne absorbed another 108,036 square feet in the corporate park.

Kimberly Kendall and Rett Turner represented Bissell, the owner and landlord, in all transactions. Matt Bowen at JLL represented Time Warner Cable and Southeast Psych, Peter Stipicevic at TRIPP Commercial represented Vizant, Ben Speir at Cherry & Associates represented Scottish Holdings, Jack Glasgow at Mohr Partners represented Curtiss-Wright, and Mark Mahoney at Red Rocks Development represented eLEND.

In other Ballantyne news, the Brigham Building, a 10-story, 287,507-square-foot speculative office project, is well underway and still on target for a November completion, according to Bissell. Brigham, designed by LS3P Architecture with contract work by Rodgers Builders, will match the park's Gragg and Woodward buildings.
