Cable company hiring 45 in Dayton region

Time Warner Cable looks to add 45 workers at its customer service center in Kettering.

It is holding a job fair on Aug. 31, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 3691 Turner Road in Dayton.

During the event, candidates will have the opportunity to meet with staff and assess the company culture, while learning about hours, pay, and training.

Time Warner Inc (NYSE:TWX) has risen 13.61% since January 25, 2016 and is uptrending. It has underperformed by 0.32% the S&P500.

Dycom sees revenue opportunity in Charter-TWC merger

Charter’s acquisition of Time Warner Cable, and the latter’s subsequent digital conversion, presents a business opportunity for telecom services supplier Dycom, the vendor told its investors.

“Charter has been pretty open that their first priority going into the calendar year is to take the Time Warner systems all digital,” said Steven Nelson, Dycom’s president and CEO, speaking to investors during Tuesday’s second-quarter earnings call.

Carrier Dome double-header kicks off Time Warner high school football TV schedule

A double-header on Sept. 1 in the Carrier Dome will start Time Warner Cable Sport's 2016 high school football television schedule.

Kickoff Classic games featuring Henninger vs. Cicero-North Syracuse (5 p.m.) and Marcellus vs. Westhill (8 p.m.) begin a season which will usually involve weekly game telecasts on Thursday and Friday nights.

Time Warner Cable Arena Being Renamed ‘Spectrum Center’

The Time Warner Cable Arena, the home of the Charlotte Hornets, is being renamed “Spectrum Center” to reflect the branding of Charter Communications, which wrapped up its acquisition of Time Warner Cable in mid-May.

The naming rights for the arena went to Charter following the merger. Charter uses the Spectrum brand for its range of video, Internet, voice and business services. TWC entered the original agreement in 2008 with Hornets Sports & Entertainment.
